Article 1 : Deer Farmerˇ¦s Association of the Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as ˇ§the Foundationˇ¨ ) to ensure and promote good blood of deer breed, and increase deerˇ¦s production capacity, especially promulgates the Rules of Breeding Deer Registration.

Article 2 : Breeding Deers included in the Principles are listed as follows:
2.1 Taiwan Sambar
2.2 The Formosan Sika deer
2.3 Fallow Deer (also known as deer)
2.4 The Red Deer

Article 3 : Registration of breeding deer include the following :
3.1 Birth Registration
3.2 Pedigree Registration
3.3 Reproductive Performance Registration.
   (A) registration of Antler velvet amount.
   (B) registration of reproduction ability.
3.4 Breeding Deer Registration.

 

Article 4 : Breeding deer registration are required to accommodate with deer pedigree data record form:
4.1 Breeding records for breeding doe
4.2 The registration form of calving records

 

Article 5 : The Doe Breeding Record shall be filled out and forwarded by the deer farm to the Foundation within 30 days after the breeding doe is mated. Calving Record for Fawn shall be filled out and forwarded by the deer farm to the Foundation within 30 days after the doe Calved.

 

Article 6 : The Birth Registration shall be filled out and applied by the deer farm. The Birth Registration Certificate shall be issued after the deer is verified by the Foundation.

 

Article 7 : The Pedigree Registration Certificate shall be issued after the birth registration where deer must have parentsˇ¦ pedigree and the type and appearance verified by the Foundation.

 

Article 8 : The Reproductive Performance Certificate shall be issued after the pedigree registration deer having production performance data.  
8.1 The Registration Certificate of a male deer antler velvet     production
8.2 The Reproductive Performance Registration Certificate :
 (A) Fawn born with parental pedigree data
 (B) the Buck has at least three fawns that are qualified for pedigree registration.

 

Article 9 :  Breeding deer which meet the following requirements shall be allowed to register to the foundation :
9.1 Bucks : bucks with antler velvet production registration certificate, and possessed the parents pedigree information are qualified for the breeding deer registration.
9.2 Doe : doe with Reproductive Performance Registration Certificate, with their half-sib brother or offspring also having an antler velvet production registration certificate, are qualified for the Breeding Deer Registration.

 

Article 10 : The Foundation will also set a Breeding Deer Committee, and the rules will be released by the foundation.

 

Article 11 : The registered deer in case of death, slaughter, culling or missing, the deer farm owners should report to the Foundation the causes and the execution date within one month and apply for the cancellation of registration.

Article 12 : The deer with the Birth Registration, the Pedigree Registration, the Reproductive Performance Registration, or Breeding Deer Registration, in case of transferring, applications for change of ownership of registration shall be applied by the new owner. New certificates will be approved and re-issued by the Foundation together with the original certificates.

Article 13 : In case of any submitted wrong information during registering, the owner should correct immediately, the Foundation has the right to cancel the registration who forges or provides any incorrect information. The Foundation has the right to drop the fault registrations and to reject the registration applies for two years.

Article 14 : If the Registration Certificate is lost or damaged, the registered owner shall fill in the application and submit to the Foundation for a new certificate.

Article 15 : The fees for deer registration are as follows :

15.1 : Purebred Deer Registration : NT 100

15.2 : Productive Performance Registration : NT 50

15.3 : Pedigree Registration : NT 50

15.4 : The Birth Registration : NT 50

15.5 : New certification apply fee : NT 50

15.6 : Transferring Fee : NT 50

Article 16 : The rules shall be put into force upon being examined and upon being reported to Council of Agriculture for reference, and so shall the amendment of the rules.
