QUALITY Dairy Breeding Farm

Quality breeding dairy farm, is first branch of NIEN, GIN-CHIH dairy farm, and they started dairy farming since 2004.

NIEN,CHING-MING is the owner of Quality breeding Dairy Farm, the third son of Mr. NIEN, GIN-CHIH.

　　Currently the herd size is about 360. With the forage automatic harvesting machine, automatic milking equipments and other automation equipments, the operating efficiency of the farm has excellent progress.

Cows were fed a total mixed ration (TMR) which ingredients were mainly alfalfa, Australian sweet oat, purchased corn silage and vitamin/mineral premix.

The management of lactating herds is divided into four groups, high-yielding group, middle-yielding group, low-yielding group and confinement cows after calving.

The imported semen is important and widely used for breeding of selected cows. Low production efficiency or low milk quality cows are culled routinely to adjust and to control the proportion of raw milk production in winter to match the demand of fresh milk market.

Mr. NIEN,CHING-MING applied to join the dairy breeding farm team and planed to select of high performance tropicl dairy cattle for sell in the coming future. The total efficiency of the farm will not only gain from the progress of raw milk producton but also come from the propagation of elite genetics.
