牛淋巴球黏力缺失症(Bovine Leukocyte Adhesion Deficiency， 曾譯為牛遺傳性白血症)是指帶有兩個牛先天性下痢致死基因的有病型(BLAD)，會導致仔牛下痢、發燒與生長遲滯最後死亡，但是雜合型個體(BL)在生長上則與一般正常牛(TL)相似。自1997年7月起至1998 年8月止共檢測了四個民間牧場的牛隻(北部兩場及南部兩場)與來自北部與東部地區參與 DHI計畫各牧場的自留小公牛。71 頭自留小公牛中共檢測出 6 頭雜合型小公牛(8.5%)，而來自四個場的724頭牛隻(母牛為主)共測出36頭雜合型(5.0%)其頻率分別為 3.2%(5/158)，5.4%(19/350)，5.5%(7/127)與 5.6%(5/89)。全部 795頭牛隻中共測出 42頭(5.3%)雜合型與717頭正常型牛隻。所有樣本中未檢測出任何有病型(BLAD)個體。

Bovine Leukocyte Adhesion Deficiency is a genetic defect. Homozygote animals have two mutated genes(BLAD) which will suffer from pneumonia, diarrhea, fever, retarded growth and usually dead by the age of one year old regularly. However, it is not the case for the carrier(BL), with only one defect gene, which can grow as well as a normal animal(TL). From July, 1997 to August 1998, samples of 724 animals( cows with few heifers and calves) from four farms, and 71 young bulls from 15 more farms were collected and extracted DNA for the test. Two farms located in the north part and two farms in the south part of Taiwan. Samples of the young bulls were from north and east part of Taiwan. All animals were in DHI herds. Six young bulls detected as carrier(8.5%, 6/71). Thirty six carriers were found in the four farms( 5.0%, 36/724). The carrier percentages of the four farms were 3.2%(5/158)，5.4%(19/350)，5.5%(7/127) and 5.6%(5/89)。 Total average was 5.3%(42/ 795) and no BLAD genotype was discovered in this investigation.
