CALL FOR PAPERS

The Organizing Committee of the 2^nd Academic Conference of Asian Society of Traditional Veterinary Medicine cordially invites you to submit an abstract of your paper to be presented during the Conference. The paper will be accepted in two presentation formats: oral presentation in an appropriate session and poster display. Oral presentation will be 15 minutes including questions and answers. For poster display, the presenter will describe the poster during a 1 hour period. Interested individuals should submit their abstracts according to the following instructions.

SUBMISSION OF PAPERS

All participants who wish to submit a paper are requested to complete the “abstract submission form” and send to the secretariat by June 1st, 2008. Papers must be sent by e-mail, if you send it by facsimile are not acceptable. All speakers will be asked to submit a full text by July 1st, 2008 for the publication of the conference proceedings.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

1.      The abstract and full text must be submitted in English, typed in “Times New Roman” font, use single line spacing, in 12 points, and saved as the MS-Word file format.

2.      Content of the abstract and full text:

-- the title of the paper in CAPITAL letters, 14 points, in bold.

-- the author’s name should begin with full first name, middle initial and last name. Underline the name if the presenting author.

-- indicate the affiliation of the presenting author with department/institution, city and country. Do not state address, postal code, academic degrees or grant support.

-- Text with introduction (background), methods, results, conclusions and references.

3.      Note that:

-- abbreviations in parentheses must follow the full wording the first time it appears in the text.

-- references and credits are not be included in the abstract.

-- author should check carefully for typographic and spelling errors, and the use of symbols, subscripts, superscripts, etc before submission.

4.      The abstract must be submitted electronically together with a copy of the “Abstract Submission form” as an e-mail attachment to the Conference Secretariat (e-mail: dsjong@ntu.edu.tw). The presenting author will be notified within one week by the Conference Secretariat.

5.      Authors should indicate on the “Abstract Submission form” their preference for oral, poster or either form of presentation. However, the Scientific Committee reserves the right to make the final decision.
